Tim Kirkman:
Tim started singing with Hoosier Harmony in September of 2007. He and his sweet wife,
Roberta, reside in Terre Haute, IN where he grew up. He was raised in a happy Christian
home that was filled with lots of harmony singing gathered around an old upright
piano. His life has been blessed with a good Christian Mother, five children , several
grandchildren and 1 great-
Tim lost his father before he was 2 years old and his Mom was left alone to raise 9 children. When asked how she made it through those tough times she said “I had no choice, I had to make it for my children’s sake”. Tim says he could never find the words to say how much he loves and appreciates his Mother, who turned 99 in October of 2010. As a teenager he rebelled against all the things he had been taught and at the age of 18 he began playing country music in bars. He played 5 and 6 nights a week for nearly 30 years, and said the lifestyle that goes with bars slowly crept in and took over his life. So many wrong choices were made that he regrets every day. But, Tim says the best part is the day Jesus forgave him for all the wrongs he had ever done … that day he knelt down and asked God for forgiveness. He says he will never forget how he felt that day. He feels he owes what what little talent and ability he has to God and is Thankful that God led him to Hoosier Harmony. He feels this is where God wants him to be and prays that God will use and bless this quartet, and that maybe he can help lead some soul to the Lord.
